June 3, 2009. Mayor Mel Sarmiento and Philippine Coconut Authority Regional Manager Ed Nierva cut the ribbon to officially open the Coconut Nursery, Earwig Bio Laboratory and Coconut Products Display Center. Looking on are Vice Mayor Ronald Aquino (to the mayor's left) and Samar Coco Products President Engr Julio Co (in yellow), PCA's private partner which funded the project. (PIA 8)
