Do you still remember the SAKAY-NA Project? It was the project launched by no less than President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo when she visited Calbayog for Charter Day 2006.
SAKAY-NA is a tie-up up between the LGU, DepEd Calbayog and the office of Congressman Reynaldo Uy. It provides free shuttle service for students from the various barangays of Calbayog. This project has been replicated in a good number of municipalities in the region.
The City Government has recently put into operation the third bus. This one plies the Calbayog - San Policarpo (Ipao) route. Let me share some pix taken by Henry Puyat when he chanced upon the bus picking up students from San Policarpo National High School.
